WHO WE ARE?
In South Africa, many children face significant hurdles in accessing quality education, be it overcrowded classrooms, lack of resources, or little support to navigate higher education and career paths. At the YB Foundation, we are stepping in to change this. At the YB Foundation, we believe in the power of education as a transformative tool for driving social change and advancing social justice.
Our mission is to create innovative, sustainable growth and development solutions for children and youth from diverse backgrounds, with a focus on underserved communities such as villages and townships across South Africa.
By addressing social ills, dismantling injustices, and challenging stigmas, we work to bridge the gap for society’s most marginalised. We are committed to amplifying their voices, restoring their dignity, and empowering them to build a brighter future
WHAT WE DO?
The YB Foundation is committed to empowering children and youth and within underserved communities through a comprehensive range of programs and initiatives. Our focus areas include education development, leadership training, skills development, mentorship, and community engagement.
Each program is carefully designed to be collaborative, inclusive, and sustainable, ensuring we address the unique needs of those we serve while fostering long-term positive change. Through these efforts, we aim to equip the next generation with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to thrive and make a lasting impact on society.
The aim of this project is to work hand in hand with other existing organisations, establishments and institutions, to aid in restoring dignity through humanity. While actively combating social ills for all vulnerable & marginalised citizens within their diverse communities.
This project is aimed at helping bridge the gap between the potential of South African youth and the opportunities that can be provided to them through education. We do so through various ways accessible to us. This initiative is in line with Goal 4 of the Sustainability Goals by the UN.
The EmpowHer initiative is driven by a vision of shaping a world where every woman can use her voice, make her own decisions, and participate in economic opportunities without any limitations. Our work is a testament to the resilience, strength, and potential of girls and young women across Africa.
The Active Youth Movement is a call to action for today’s youth—a generation that has become more connected to screens than to each other. We see a world where young people in South Africa are losing the opportunity to be active, to bond, to learn through experience, and to grow into the leaders they were meant to be. At the heart of this movement is a simple idea: getting young people moving, playing, and engaging face-to-face again.
Welcome to Bright Young Minds, a platform dedicated to celebrating the academic achievements and professional accomplishments of exceptional young graduates and professionals. Our mission is to highlight the diverse talents and accomplishments of individuals who have strived for excellence in their education and careers.
Understanding that literacy is fundamental to academic achievement, personal growth, and economic participation, the YB Foundation developed Amavo Amahle, a literacy-focused initiative to promote the love of reading, improve literacy rates, and open doors to lifelong learning for young people.
Esihle Beyile
In a world filled with challenges and adversities, it's individuals like Esihle Beyile who serve as a ray of hope and inspiration to all of us.
Raised in the informal settlements of Komani in the Eastern Cape, Esihle's story is one of resilience and determination. Life for her began in the challenging conditions of an informal settlement, where she and her family resided in a small shack. Living without basic amenities proved to be a daily struggle, but Esihle's resilience and dreams for a better future kept her focused on overcoming these obstacles...
